Jillian's New Years Resolution. Excuses, excuses. Notes from the Jillian Michaels Show Podcast.

This podcast was posted on February 4, 2013.

Jillian's resolution is to be better with money.  Now that she has kids, she feels that she needs to be more responsible.  She thinks she has a compulsive spending problem.

How are you nurturing yourself to fill the emptiness?  Where do you really feel held and nurtured?

It's sometimes hard to put yourself first sometimes.  When you get too depleted, there's none of you left to give to the ones you love.  Jillian and Heidi would like to go away, but they're freaked out to do it!

Staying healthy and fit with as little effort as possible.  That's what Jillian's new book is all about!

Fitness on the Fly.

Did you know that there are gyms in airports?  Go to www.airportgyms.com to find  gyms that are in or close to airports.

On the plane, get up and walk around every hour or so.  You can get blood clots on a plane.  Stretch in your chair.  Focus on your breathing.

Pick a hotel with a gym.

Be action packed.  Do your workouts through your computer in your hotel room.  Download some workouts from iTunes, or bring your DVDs.  You can even use water bottles as weights if needed.  You could also bring resistance tubes.

Take a deck of cards and assign an exercise to each suit.  Go through the deck.  Do the number of reps that corresponds to the number on the card you draw, along with the appropriate exercise.

Be demanding.  See if there are free On Demand workouts on hotel TVs.

Have an adventure.  Go do something active.  Let the concierge help you.

Happy trails to you.  http://www.trails.com/.  It has all kinds of trails listed.

Sightsee.  If you're on your feet all day long, you're going to burn calories.  See the town on your feet.

Get wet.  Go in the pool and swim laps.  Play in the pool with your kids and be active.

Join a gym that's a chain.  You can go to other locations in different cities.

Callers

Lady is calling in to figure out when she can work out, but she drinks a lot of liquid sugar.  Her weight is climbing, and she has a busy schedule.  Jillian recommends that she drinks eBoost instead of soda and lattes.  A cup of coffee has no calories.  This lady can fix her diet if she wants to.

Create a negative association with the sugary drinks.  She needs to work on getting rid of the unhealthy foods.  She also needs to work less, because she has only 4-5 hours to sleep at night.  She has a lot of thinking to do.
